A meeting took place on Tuesday 12th November to discuss the upcoming fundraisers for the Canada Trip. An e-mail was issued with a letter as follows:
At a recent fundraising meeting, pupils discussed and agreed the main ways through which we will fundraise during the October – December 2019 term and we agreed our overall fundraising target.
We must raise £10,000 overall and, although we hope some of this can be met with support from other funding sources there is no guarantee. This is in addition to the pupil contribution (still TBD once flights etc. are released in May 2020).
Sandbank Christmas Fayre – Sunday 24th November
Every pupil has been asked to contribute some sweets for the hamper, which will be raffled off in school and at the Sandbank Fayre. This could include a box of sweets or individual items. We will also sell our Gaelic Christmas cards. We are looking for pupils volunteers to help man the stall on the day; the event takes place in Sandbank Village Hall from 11am – 3pm.
Bag Packing at the Co-op:
The S5 girls took responsibility for writing to the Co-op to request a bag packing date and have confirmed the day of Saturday 21st December from 10am – 3pm. We are looking for pupils and parental volunteers to fill up slots throughout the day. Pupils are asked to sign up on the signup sheet outside B203 before the 6th December.
Christmas Cards:
P6/7 pupils in Sandbank have been working to make Gaelic Christmas cards. These will be available to purchase and more information will be circulated once the designs have been completed.
Our next fundraising meeting will be displayed in the pupil notices and a text will also be sent home.
